Путем скоростного фрезерования одновременно двух бандажей колесной пары специальными фасонными фрезами, обеспечивается получение точного профиля, овальность и равность диаметров колес по кругу катания в соответствии с высокими современными требованиями восстановлениярабочего фасонного профиля колес. Измельченная стружка, которая образовывается при фрезеровании бандажей колесных локомотивных пар, легко убирается и транспортируется. На станке есть возможность точной установки фрез относительно бандажа, замера диаметра и межбандажного расстояния в процессе обработки. Система управления станком автоматизирована, осуществляется при помощи электрических и гидравлических приспособлений, а все основные операции исполняются нажатием кнопок или переключением выключателей, которые находятся на пультах управления. Неподвижная станина устанавливается на фундамент и имеет механизм для установки и обработки колесной пары.
